Chaucer’s story starts with heartbreak. He was abandoned at an emergency vet with a broken leg. Shortly after, he became sedate/ hyperesthetic/ hypothermic due to marijuana ingestion. But thanks to some amazing people, he received supportive care and his Salter-Harris fracture was repaired. He’ll be safe with us while he heals.
Staff and volunteers who have handled him say he’s sweet and playful. He likes to sniff around, goof off, shows interest in other dogs, and looks for opportunities to play.
For now, his job is simple: rest, recover, and soak up all of the love he deserves. We’ll keep sharing updates as he heals. And when the time comes, he’ll be ready to find a forever family!
